They came from the quiet hills of Lausanne with fuzz in their hearts and bad intentions in their pockets. In 1996, three misfits \u2013 Michel, Julia, and Tanguy \u2013 made a pact sealed in feedback and cheap beer: start a band, make it loud, and never look back. That band became The Giant Robots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three decades later \u2014 yes, 30 years of rock\u2019n\u2019roll exorcism coming in 2026 \u2014 they\u2019re still on stage, still playing like they\u2019ve got one minute left to live, still turning every crowd into a twisted, sweaty mess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From their first show at Club Abraxas to their latest tours across Spain, Germany, France, and the Underworld, The Giant Robots have never stopped preaching the gospel of fuzz, beat, and mayhem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michel \u2013 the voice. The rhythm. Equal parts garage prophet and broken amp.
Guy \u2013 lead guitar. His solos have been banned by NATO.
Julia \u2013 bass. Tough as nails, smooth as hell.
Tania \u2013 keys. She makes the Farfisa scream like it\u2019s 1965 in a haunted Parisian nightclub.
Fabien \u2013 the new kid on drums (joined in 2025). He hits like a factory on fire.
Forget origin myths. Yes, there was a cow called Milka, a failed surf attempt at Ch\u00e2teau de Gl\u00e9rolles, and some shady campus radio tapes. But what matters is the sound: raw, wild, unfiltered rock\u2019n\u2019roll with a Swiss twist and a Latin punch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From their first 7\u201d \u201cIntroducing\u2026\u201d, to the fuzzadelic LPs \u201cInvasion\u201d, \u201cSuper Robots\u201d, and the cult classic \u201cToo Young to Know Better\u2026 Too Hard to Care\u201d (released on the infamous Voodoo Rhythm Records, of course) \u2013 these maniacs have never let up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They recorded \u201cDelightfully Refreshing\u201d (Soundflat Records) at Toe Rag Studios with analog wizard Liam Watson \u2013 five days of tape-saturated garage y\u00e9y\u00e9 madness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then came \u201cFuzz You\u201d (Groovie Records) in 2024 \u2013 mixed in Spain by Jorge Explosion, featuring the Italo-ripper \u201cAvanti la Macchina\u201d and more teeth-rattling hits for the next apocalypse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Giant Robots have toured Europe relentlessly, leaving behind broken strings, ringing ears, and confused customs officers. They\u2019ve played with the best and slept on the worst floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2026 is the year of their 30th anniversary, and they\u2019re putting together a show that\u2019ll blast open your head and kick out the ghosts of every dead dive bar between Lisbon and Leipzig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
